so what?
For the sun will rise
And the moon will set
And you learn how to settle
For what you get.
It will all go on if we're here or not
Chilly rainy day here after cold day yesterday with pea soup fog. Going to rain all weekend, but be 80 degrees by Sunday. Chicago always gets its weather all mixed up.
Because I am now a custodial grandparent, I get to help work on a term paper all weekend. Oh the joys. Even though I was a teacher, I still think that term papers are a hoax of high school education.
Writing a term paper is an exercise in composing a research paper. Unless one is going to do research in one's life and need to document it, there is really no need to learn how to do it. It's like requiring teenagers to learn how to build and maintain a telescope in case they become astrologers.
And let me tell you, I've yet to run into someone who has said, "It's a good thing I wrote a term paper in high school or I wouldn't know how to do it in college."
Now don't get all philosophical on us, W4G. Think "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" -- if you can get the Nazi symbol out of your mind.
