snowbound!!!!

we got about 6 inches last nite and it's still snowin'. i realize that 6" isn't that much to my blogger buddies in Chicagoland (especially to Judes - LOL) but the South ain't equipped to handle this and everything is shut down. think i'll go outside and write my name in the snow with my pee like i used to do when i was just a young and highly-impressionable boy. maybe even make a snow angel.

  1. Far from ridiculing you, Teddy, I sympathize. 6" ain't much some of the times, but it's a heck of a lot of snow.

    Stay dry and warm.

  2. i wish u were here with me sweet princess so we could make snow angels together!

  3. Hell no, Teddy! You just get cold snow down your collar. I'm waaaay past the snow angel stage. Now a snow ball fight would be fun, although my brothers would always win by stuffing snow down the back of my coat. Just don't sneak a rock or a hunk of ice in your snow ball because then it spoils the fun.

  4. Yikes, that's ALOT of snow for you guys BB! Be careful, I'm sure nobody your way knows how to drive in it.

I had to go pick up Spawn from school. The nurse called, he had a fever and was complaining of a sore throat. He hung his head out the window while we were driving home, thought he was going to puke. Something is happening to me too, feel nauseated with a bad headache. What a terrible birthday my baby is having!!
Do you know what the heartless bitch said to me when I told her I had to leave?! She said can't your husband pick him up? I said, with a sweet smile on my face, you mean the one laying in bed with double pneumonia? I think not. And I left her standing there staring after me as I walked out the door. It took everything I had not to tell her to go fuck herself. My next order of biz is a new job.
Everybody take care, snow and health wise. Don't panic if I'm slow on the posting draw for a few-my house is germ central right now.

  5. Poor, Judes. Not only does she have to deal with her son being sick (and probably a bit whiny) but she's sick herself.

w4g is snowed in...with snow. Judes is snowed in...with illness. Roc, where are you, honey? No matter how busy you are, we all know you're only fighting the traffic in LA. Lfj, I guess you still are seeing dead people.

  6. hey Judes, sorry for all the illness in your family...take care of Bri & that lil spawn of yours and, of course, take care of yourself! we all love u here and hope things get better soon.

as for DL, don't get me started...

  8. A couple more inches of snow in my neck of the woods today, nothing to speak about, except it's still snowing.

  9. Weather.com says 25 degrees and light snow. I'm sorry, but there is a blizzard going on outside my window! Dragon Lady tried to write me up today for leaving without her permission yesterday. I refused to sign it and I marched into HR and told them my side of the story. Fortunately, my bud Janey matched my story and HR sided with me. They shredded the write up in front of me. Now DL isn't speaking to me which is actually kinda nice. Stupid cow-

Did you guys see Gossip Boy today yet? He/she's a little behind but posted the pics of Jake's "peen" while Annie is going to town from their forgettable movie. A couple of comments say it's the table edge and not his peen. I dunno, still looks like peen to me!!! LOLOL

  10. Well, it IS January:

Light to moderate snow...with visibilities 3/4 mile or less...will continue through 1200 PM for far northeastern Illinois...including Chicago and its northern and western suburbs. Snowfall rates will range from 1/2 inch per hour to up to 1 inch per hour under the heaviest lake enhanced bands. Use extra caution driving late this morning...as many area roadways are at least partially snow-covered.

    Tonight
Cloudy. Light snow or snow showers likely in the evening...then a chance of light snow or snow showers after midnight. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Total snow accumulation 3 to 6 inches. Lows 16 to 20...except in the mid 20s downtown. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

    Wednesday
Cloudy with a 20 percent chance of snow showers. Highs in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph.

  11. Trouble is, I think they are seeing me.

    Med change needed!
    Attitude adjustment needed!
Pill for hating my violent fellowpeople needed!

Hurrah, Judes, for advocating for yourself!

W4G, make the snow angel first and then . . .

TT, weathergal, gossip maven, and all-round mench. You does it all! And so well, too.

  12. I would find it very comforting to think that the dead can see (and hear) me. But I am a very strange individual.

"Smile and the whole world smiles with you" -Louis Armstrong
OR ...they will assume you are so bat shit crazy that they will leave you alone. -TT

Don't fuck with an exhausted working mother.

Yes, I see the snow angel, THEN the snow writing time line. Order is important.

I am a ship without a rudder, adrift upon the sea of internet gossip and chatter.

  13. Glad you are back LFJ! You don't need an attitude adjustment, just the meds-LOL! I'll join you there-
People (present company excluded) in general just suck. That's why I hold onto the good ones tight. The rest are rude and just faking their own importance. They also say and do nasty shit to their fellow brothers and sisters. You can feel bad about it, but unfortunately can't change it.
Smile LFJ, we all love you dearly!

P, you are one in a million, rudderless or otherwise!

My two boys are missing in action today. They don't get compliments until they post!!!

    LOL!

  15. not "many," should be "maybe"....definitely need new glasses and looking into a brain transplant as well...winter, it-is-snowing-like-hell-has-frozen-over blues

  16. "Gloom, despair, and agony on me"(remember that cheery ditty?)

New pills are on the way, Judes, and I appreciate the good medicine that your positive outlook represents.

I, too, TT, would welcome the dead seeing and hearing me but so far . . . . In some of my really old cases, eyes were examined to see if they had captured a "photograph" of the murderer. Sent to Chicago, as I remember.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I thought the eye imaging was only a ploy in the movie Manhunter LFJ. Can the retina really capture an image while dying or dead? That is truly interesting to me, I think I will do some internet research on the subject.
I can see how your profession would depress you LFJ-you wouldn't be a decent human being if it didn't. But you are helping their tortured souls find peace and that is most important.
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. No, alas, it never worked as far as I'm aware. Let me know what you find! It would involve the eyes being an inanimate object like a camera and not tissue that died with the rest of the body.

It's not just the work, it's the 'tude of "cop shops" (ask TT about her brothers), the general lack of civility abroad in our culture, the vapidness of famous people, the vagaries of mortal life.

    Nothing big.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You're reminding me the the film "In the Valley of Elah," lfj. Don't watch that movie on a depressing day.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If I want despair, I'll want Ingmar Bergman's "Hour of the Wolf" (mine's not right before dawn but rather mid-day)." Remember SCTV's Dr. Tongue promising viewers on Monster Chiller Horror Theatre that it was the featured movie that night and then saying, "What's the matter? You think a bunch of brooding Swedes sitting around talking about depression isn't scary?" Or maybe he was showing "Through a Glass Darkly"; doesn't really matter which. One as dark as the other.

  21. Hey everyone! I must be doing something wrong when I post a reply - am I not keeping up on the current blog? Hopefully I have found you this time.
